Big day at Trestles. Surfed against my buddy Wilko in Round 3. Waves were a little slow and both of us struggled to connect with a great set wave. In Round 4 I came up against Parko and Mick. I guess the judges were looking to reward flow in that one? I'll surf against Ace in Round 5 now and if I can win I'll get a rematch with Parko. My first time surfing Trestles in a World Tour event. Love the joint. Have you surfed it? Sick wave. Provides you with a enough wall to get up a tonne of speed but has a really soft lip so you can kinda throw anything you want at it. Matched up against Alejo and Pupo in the first round. A pretty deadly heat. Miguel won an event here a few months back and Alejo's been ripping this year. I found some okay form in the heat and scored a coupla high eights and got a win. Thrilled to be skipping Round 2. Some higlights for ya from Round 1 below…
