This is the view from my digs on the Gold Coast for the Quik Pro. Waves were pumping today.

Jimmy Lees Aka Jimmy Jail Tatts [pictured] is my best mate. A strange boy that dabbles in film and photogrpahy. I've appointed him head footage and photo getterer. He'll supply much of the vision you see on this site including fabulously weird little numbers like the one upstairs.

These are my sticks for the first event. A couple of Mayhem's (Matt Biolis) boards I've been digging and a trusty Luke Short (LSD). Put some love on there for Andy, a guy I always wanted to surf like and a person I would have loved to have travelled on tour with.

Time between heats? Eat, surf, sleep.
Goldy crowds? Wild. So many good surfers though.
Oscars? Natalie Portman's fa sure. Hope Jacki Weaver gets one too.
Ian Thorpe's comeback? Huh? Goodluck to him.
Coolum? Home.

Lapped up a fun session into a howling southerly near home just recently. The wind was kind for backside airs.
